Merry Christmas 2017

Kevin earned a gold star this year and a gold vest! Kevin had surgery on his left foot in January and his left hip in June. In August, he was in-patient for 5 weeks of intense therapy. Kevin continues to work hard with multiple therapies: physical, occupational, speech, music, art, dance, and pool. We are happy to say that it was all worth it! Kevin is stronger and more comfortable walking and has gained many new skills, like pedaling a trike bike.

We are were able to fit in some fun travels and celebrations this year. In May, we spent a day in Washington DC as a stop on our way to the Outer Banks with the G family. We celebrated Kevin's 13th birthday in October with Grandee & Pap G. at one of our favorite places, Niagara Falls. Jon and Karen celebrated our 20th anniversary in Cincinnati. Lastly, in December we enjoyed an overnight with Grandma H. at Oglebay, WV to see the Festival of Lights.

It has been an abundantly blessed year. We are so grateful to you, our family and friends that supported us during the challenging year making sure we had the prayers and help we needed to get through it. We are grateful for the doctor, medical staff, and therapists that have helped Kevin along our journey. We are so proud of Kevin and how well he adapted to all the changes that were required of him this year.

Wishing you many blessings for 2018!
