Oglebay - Festival of Lights

December 3, 2017
Oglebay in Wheeling, West Virginia

Our family Christmas gift this year was an overnight at Oglebay lodge with Grandma. We did this same trip 7 years ago and stayed in a cabin with Grandma and Grandpa. The Festival of Lights is a six-mile drive through the Oglebay park featuring 89 lighted attractions...and a Full SuperMoon that night. We drove through twice because Kevin was so excited to see the lights! In the morning, Kevin and I walked to the lodge in our bath robes to go swimming...the weather was very mild. We saw Santa's baby reindeer and some other animals at the Good Zoo, a massive model train display (which probably put more ideas in Jon's head), and a laser light show. It was a very enjoyable trip and we loved having Grandma with us.
